Guest TennesseeTurkey
Do I just need to find someone with an FFL like a pawn shop or something thats willing to do a transaction for me? How does all of that work???
smallmunster
In general a gun must be shipped to a FFL. If you buy a gun over the internet you pay for it and they send the gun to the FFL that you have found to do the transfer for you. The FFL that you find will send the seller a copy of his FFL and then the seller will ship it. Make sure you find out the fee before you have the gun shipped as some FFL's have pretty high fees for transfers. You can go to gunbroker.com and do their FFL search for one in your area. dartonman
Chris is right on the money....in my area, they charge about 20-25 dollars, and sometimes the gun seller will deduct that from the price of the gun....al
wtnhunt
Yep, gunbroker has a pretty good listing of ffl's all over the country and good advice checking on the fee prior to deciding where to have it shipped. Use a pawn shop for transfers here, he charges $25. Have a gun shop about 15-20 minutes closer to us, but he charges $50.
