I am on my way down there again( my 3rd trip in as many years) this Thursday morning for 5 days to go on a Axis and possibly a hog hunt. They are free ranging Axis on a small parcel of land that my friend has permission to take me to hunt on...FREE! He maintains a feeder there which keeps the Axis and Whitetail visiting. The Axis meat is the sweetest meat I have ever tasted. If you have eaten it I am sure you will agree also. If anyone is in the Kerrville/Harper/Center Point area or close by and wishes to meet up for a adult beverage. PM your # and I will send you mine and we can get together. Hopefully this buck is still around and I can get a shot at him. This pic was taken 2 weeks ago. They are free range, no fence and not a hunting ranch of any kind.
