Jeramie
So this thing is really blowing up! Just to refresh Memories, My wife and I are doing a small planting this year to test the water. Right now we have about 300 tomato plants, 100 - 125 other large plants, and small garden variety going in this spring. We wanted to test the Vegetable market and see if we could make some money. Low and behold the Good Lord is working as always. Not a week ago my sister read in the Paper where a group of people were getting together to start a farmer's market just about 8-10 miles from the house in a larger town than ours. I attended a meeting last week that included a guy from the Oklahoma Department Of Ag and a woman who manages several markets in Tulsa (really big markets). Things just seem to keep growing from there. We are getting our tax number this Thursday, im starting to turn ground to kill out grass seed this weekend, and im ordering 400 large plants and seed next week! We are planting everything we can think of these first two years so we can see what really grows in our soil. Its going to be a lot of work but I really feel good about it after going to meetings. We had another last night and I will be the number 2 grower in the new market! I still have a LOT of work to do but its really taking a life of its own! Also, there is an 8-acre plot behind me that Ive wanted since we bought our place around 5-years ago. Low and behold it come up for sale this past weekend?! Right now we are WAY to far apart on price but hopefully he will work with me. Im going to throw out an offer and let him sit on it. If that comes through im putting in an entire 8-acre crop like corn or turnips or something. This is already way out of the rhelm we imagined but im so happy it seems to be moving forward smoothly. God is blessing us and its going to be a TON of work but we are excited. Im going to start the pictures this weekend. Ill keep them posted as the work is done! Also, can anyone find a place to buy the little paper cartons? Ive looked all over the place online and cant seem to find them. Id like the ones that hold about 4-6 tomato, etc.

Jeramie
Good for you guys!!!! I'm still in awe of you tilling ground and planting in January:jaw:. Don't you have some cold weather hampering things at all? Oh yeah, we have our share of cold weather.. Two weeks ago we were in the negative temps overnight. We have also had near record snowfall this year. Its been cold... However, this week we have been in the 50's and 60's! I actually wont plant until probably March. Im turning over the ground because a light freeze will kill out grass roots and seed. That will help keeping the garden weed and grass free.
