Does anyone have any experience with the above mentioned camera's..

I received the IR4 as a christmas present...put in the backyard feeder for a few days. Out of 80 pic's, 75 (nighttime Pic's) were totally BLACK and the other 5 were OK (daytime Pic's). Seems the IR flash was not working.. Tried to no avail email them through their website and got a error "must login"..(??????)

Returned it back to the store of purchase and decided to "step-down" and purchase their S2 model (Strobe flash w/2 MPixel camera)..

I setup this camera on the same spot for a few days and ALL the pictures from the night-tine were dark...What the Heck!:bang:

Any info or experience with this "GARBAGE"..pls let me know.

Thanks in advance..

I picked up the IR4 after reading about them here. Over the past month or so I've averaged nights of 75-100+ pics that turned out perfect and also just the opposite showing 100 pics of floating eyeballs on black background.

I think it gets finicky when the battery level dips to 1/2 charge which for mine is right around 500-600 pics depending on temperature. I pop in 4 new C's when it drops 2 bars just to be safe.

That aint too bad to me considering I get my batteries at the Dollar Store.:) I also haven't had any problems since switching to night mode only instead of 24 hour. Also for night pics get that sucker close to your bait station. I know it says the IR range is something like 30 feet but you'll do alot better keeping it between 6-15 max.

Yes I have been there too and this has all helped to correct the problem of black pics for me.

Maybe that will help you some.

Thanks All, Yea, I think its a crap-shoot in regards to the problems you will experience. I did have the camera set to "24". Maybe I should try "Night" (though, really not sure what this parmeter is for..Flash 24 hours/day or flash only during "night" time ??????)

As far as the batteries.. I did note that the battery level was at three quarters...yea, the're really sensitive to battery level..which really stinks. Who wants to be changing batteries every few days.

With that said..you would think the company would offer a firmware upgrade/update to fix there known issues..go figure.

PS..I think the S2 model is going back to the store this week....

Thanks again and be safe out there..
