What critters do you see???

Was watching "Zaboomafoo" with my son and they were featuring porcupines. I got to thinking that it would be cool to see one of em go waddling by my stand.

Here's what I see during a normal season(besides deer):

1. Squirrels(millions grin.gif)

2. Coyotes

3. Racoons

4. Mink(in one stand location only)

5. Birds--Crows, Hawks, Owls, and millions of red-headed woodpeckers.

We don't have feral hogs on my land or on our lease. We've got bobcats but I've yet to see one while on stand.

I know I'm probably forgetting something.

How about ya'll???

Everything you mentioned, cats, dogs, turkey's, bear sign never the bear itself! All while being in the mountain! The house cat really got me that one day, he must have been at least 3-4 miles away from any house. If he only knew how close he was, had the scope on him for a few minutes!

Re: What critters do you see???

The givens I see are song birds,crows and squirrels/chipmunks. On occasion I see hawks,owls,eagles,mice,geese,and ducks. I have seen a bobcat once, and coyotes twice. Last year I had a porcupine around my stand for most of an afternoon during the early bow season. It was pretty cool to watch for sure.

Re: What critters do you see???

Well, I sit in my stand from 7:00AM - 5:30PM. Lots of naps are taken believe me lol. But rarely, I will see moose eating at my apple pile, they come right up and munch away. Other than that, your everyday owls, tons of species of little birds, pine martins, weasels, fishers, mice, munks, squirrels, and racoons. Usually a family of about 3 or 4 racoons will come to my stand. I let them go the first time, but if they return I have to kill them because my area is over-run and they damage everything. So I always wait for them to get side by side eating the apples, the arrow usually goes through two of them pretty good.
