otdrzmn04
i just broke down and bought my lifetime hunting license for indiana. tags are $24 here and that adds up fast when you buy 4 or 5 a year. Guys look into it in your state, they would make an excellant gift for a kid
LifeNRA
Re: lifetime license There is no life time license here in PA unless your over 65 years of age! See this way they can get more money over a longer period of time!

magnatecsteve
Re: lifetime license Yeah, got my Indiana lifetime a few years back, just before they raised the tags and lifetime prices. I think I paid about $550 for mine. Sure glad I got it. It's nice to know that if a really nice doe walks by I can take it if I want and not have to rush to Wal-Mart to buy another tag before I can hunt again! Plus with the proposal of a fall turkey season being considered, that's a new tag added on since I bought the lifetime! Best investment I ever made! Rhino
Re: lifetime license They are $1000 here if you're 13 or older and $500 if you're 12 or under. They started offering them about 5 years ago. It is a great deal if you're young. I'm not so I'll just pay the $32/year for my Sportsman's license until I reach age 65. That's $448 more to go until I reach 65. Just simple economics. At age 65 I don't have to pay for a license any more in this state. The only thing that's not included in this state's Sportsman's license is a state duck stamp ($10) and a saltwater fishing license ($4). Now if for some reason I decided to move out of state, I'd buy a lifetime license before I moved. It would definately save $ in just 3 years of nonresident license purchases. Nonresident licenses cost $375 when you add in the archery/primative weapons permit.
Chrud
Re: lifetime license Wisconsin doesn't have it either. I'd gladly pay $1000 for a lifetime license.
Swamphunter
Re: lifetime license My wife and I bought one for my son when he was 3. He was starting to show an interest in hunting and wildlife and bought him the whole thing. He now has Small game, big game, fishing, turkey tags, archery (big game) and muzzleloader (big game)! We also had something personal written on the bottom of the tag that he will see every time he gets a new license in the mail!

Bow Hunter Derek
Re: lifetime license I bought mine back before they raised the fees. I think I paid around $725 lifetime hunting/fishing. I figured it up and at the current license prices, it was only going to take about 4 1/2 seasons to pay for itself. Kind of a no-brainer decision. hoosierhunter
Re: lifetime license i paid the 725 for the hunting and fishing in Indiana......I've had mine 3 years and it makes things so easy....
wtnhunt
Re: lifetime license If it were $1000 or under here I might consider, but last I checked for my age if I remember right it was like $1500. Just cannot do that when most my hunting is usually aslandowner right here on our farm.
AaronS
Re: lifetime license Me, my dad, and my brother all bought them in 1987. $483 for comp. hunting/fishing. It's been well worth it.

Guest MarylandQDMA
Re: lifetime license don't have them here. might be nice seeing how the state keeps raiseing the price. this past year I payed 50.00(+/-) for my licens, bow stamp, muzzle loading stamp and state waterfoul! ouch. glad I hunt in a unlimited doe zone! I don't need extra stamps to kill slickheads. Frank
