Started off the morning at 6am getting called to go over to the Campus Center...apparently last night the basement was flooded and a bunch of the superviors were working late to clean it up. Well it flooded again this morning, sewer water...didn't look bad, just smelled gross. The elevator shaft had a few feet of water in it. Well got it all taken care of and maintenance got the elevator and what not cleaned up. Well noon hits, I sit down to eat and check email, etc...not quite end of lunch and the boss radios for whoever to come, water is coming in. So I head over and the boiler room in the basement has a few inches, flowing out into the hallway, into the little snack shop, into the bathrooms. So we can't empty the water vacs into the drains so we have to dump them outside then once the guy brought the pump back, 4 of us were on vacs...Finished up by 3...sprayed sanitizer all over. The area is closed off until tomorrow. But I did email about some open RN positions at a small urgent care. The HR person emailed me back, said she'd be interested in setting up an interview, so I'm going to fill out the app. and send it tomorrow morning then email her back. So hopefully next week sometime I may have an interview. Not going to get my hopes up though. Shaun_300 Posted January 27, 2010 Report Share Posted January 27, 2010 Sounds like a very busy day for ya Ruth! Have a good snooze tonight! I had a long day too today, and a busy one. Really busy at work, then at 5:00 dad came and I put 4 new tires on his truck, tore the brakes apart and fixed his ABS, did an alignment, diagnosed his 4x4. Got home at 7:45! Now I gotta tear the front differential out of it and rip it apart to find the source of all the metal filings in his fluid and the growling noise it's making.
