Shaun_300
Got my new specs today, my eyes were worse than I thought! I can see a LOT better with these glasses on. They are for distance but even on the computer is a night and day difference.
TBow
Shaun, Know the feelin'. I'd never worn glasses my entire life until I crowded the half century mark. I guess you just hold off thinking, "I don' need no stickin' glasses!". Macho thing I guess. But then I walked into a local drug store and just happened to be standing beside a reading glass stand as I waited for a prescription. Just to kill time, I threw a pair on while waiting and turned to read a package on a nearby shelf. HOLY SMOKES BATMAN! I'S KIN SEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now if I ain't got a pair 'o them readin' spectacles, I can't read a dadgum thing, includin' the 'ol computer! I carry a pair with me at all times and keep about 4 or 5 spare pairs all over the house jus' in case I's looses a pair. I can see a heap of distance, but dang'd if'n I can read the date on a quarter at 12". TBow
buckee
COOL :cool2:.. To bad it's winter Shaun. You should see the details of the leaves on a tree. That's what amazed me the first time I put mine on...LOL:D This fall, when you are out hunting, you will wonder how the heck you ever shot anything without them. I know I did.But I still managed to fill my tags..somehow..LOL:D
NS whitetail
thats cool shaun :cool2::cool2: ......... I have never figured out why people will deny that they can't see well and would want to go without seeing the world perfectly :hammer1:
GWSmith
Go see Avatar 3-D...LOL Like Steve said wait until you get the chance to see the leaves rustle in a light breeze. Comapred to what your used to not seeingit is almost information overload for your brain at first. My most recent prscription change in my glasses was this past Muzzleloader season...Good Heavens the woods looked fantastic!!!
Adjam5
Spectacles can make a world of difference . Just don't wipe them clean with the lenses dry! The dirt on it will make the lenses look like you used sandpaper to clean them.
ruttinbuc
Amazing how that works! I never had a need for glasses until I was 50. It was quite apparent that I needed them much sooner than that! Makes a difference foe sure!
Nut
I got new bi focals last year. They are okay for the puter and reading but I go back to my old pair for driving and hunting.
