Jeramie
We were in the 60's all last week. I was LOVING it. Tis no longer the case. As of tomorrow morning its going to blow up. We have moisture coming in from the gulf and its going to collide with a cold front coming from the North. Freezing rain starts tomorrow, pretty much all day. It then turns to sleet. We could see up to 1 1/2" of frozen precep and then it turns over to snow. Depending on how it hits we are expected to get between 6" - 12". The really, really bad thing is the last time we had 1" of ice alone we had hundreds of thousands without power. They say this storm could rival that one and the one before it and then dump up to a foot of snow on us..... I wonder if I could catch a plane to Florida before it hits?! MCH
My mom works for AEP and she was just told to pack her bags and head to Okmulgee. They said to pack enough clothes for 5 days. So it looks like they may be a little more prepared for it this time around.
Gator
Yeah I can't wait for this! I just hope I don't lose power, that's my biggest concern
wtnhunt
Not looking good here either bud. Supposed to possibly get ice here as well, they are saying significant accumulation of ice, wintry mix, or possible snow. We had a winter storm warning or watch issued for Thursday and Friday here sometime yesterday morning. Hopefully all we get is snow, we are north of the I 40 line maybe it will all fall as snow here. camoman1
Seems like a lot of weather patterns have moved south for the year. All the crap we usually get in WI is down by you guys this year......All we have is below zero wind chills for the rest of the week. And really only had one big snowstorm so far. Hope you guys dont get it too hard...be safe out there.
Jeramie
Thats why this global warming stuff is a joke. Its a cycle that has been going on forever. I remember big snows as a kid and now we are getting them again. We have already had around 12" on the ground once this year....

Tominator
I think we're only supposed to get like 1" of snow out of that system tomorrow. We have been jipped on the snow this year so far. Only one "storm" if you could call it that. Dumped a grand total of about 3".

Tominator
Just looked at the weather alerts on weather.com. Nearly all of Oklahoma has some sort of weather advisory. Kinda wish that would come up here and test my new generator.
wtnhunt
Kinda wish that would come up here and test my new generator. Was hoping we would be in our new house by now and would have enough funds leftover for a standby generator. So much for those hopes, contractor still has not poured our basement floor.:bang: As nice as it would be to get a good snow for the kids to play in I am hoping it all misses us somehow, we really don't need any more moisture here right now. Rem308
Yep, we have had a little ice this week and already woken up with the ground white twice...but it is melting by the afternoon. This Friday we are forecast between 4 and 10 inches of snow, depending on which forecast you listen to.
