RangerClay
Thats great Joe. I cannot believe some of your co-workers thought a strike was in order when your plant almost shut down a few months ago. Don't get me wrong, there is a time and place for a strike, but from what you told me, they should be thankful for a job.
wtnhunt
Glad to hear you are still at work Joe. Hope things work out in your favor.

Adjam5
Strikes do bite...but what is the company asking for that some of the members think is worth striking over? Good Luck.

TBow
Muff, I think I recalled you saying you worked at DuPont. Is that correct? Is it still DuPont or did they get bought by Invista like the Maitland Works? The guys at the Maitland Works Invista site were on strike a few years ago and it was not pretty. There were issues on the line and even more disgruntled members when they returned to work due to what they perceived as the company trying to teach them a lesson. I think they also just laid off some 240 workers just last month. Good decision to vote for acceptance, especially in this global market environment that is still struggling to some degree. Muff
Yep TBow we are invista also....I am very happy we voted to stay at work....think most of us learned something from the Maitland strike.....they have 2 plants in the USA just waiting for a chance to start back up.....I fear if we would have walked that they would have closed the doors here.
