LifeNRA
I am waiting for my supplies to arrive at my door. In the mean time I thought I would make up my on version, but I am very sure somebody else has done this same fly! The camera has taken away the iridescent of the mylar wraps over the red thread. But you should see how this things reflects the light! I decided to wrap the thorax in peacock hurl and not add the wing case. I did put a wing case on the first one, it smashed the hurl down too much for my liking.

Turkeygirl
Nice fly! How do you get your patterns...books, Youtube? Or just experience? By the way you know any good steelhead patterns?
LifeNRA
I do a lot of internet searching. But I have a friend at work, and we talk about different patterns that work, and ones we want to try out. Pretty obvious, I am mostly a nymph fisherman. Ill be doing dries, just not anytime soon. Never fished for steelhead, so I wouldn't know! But I like to try that sometime!
Turkeygirl
Yeah, dries give me trouble...there's a few that are easy but alot are a pain...actually it's the wing that's a pain.
