Tominator
Kind of worried about our return this year. I still don't have all my forms yet, but I sold a house and bought a house this year, so I'm a little worried.

Shaun_300
Not sure how mine is gonna be this year, I guess we'll see. I was off for almost 2 months at the end of last year, not sure how that's gonna play with my taxes. As long as I don't have to pay in that's all I care about. Lots of tax changes, you might want to find a good Accountant for this year. I think I might know one! New

I had no idea the HUGE impact Cash would have on my tax return this year.....holy crap!:toot: Yeah but whatever credits you get along with the extra exemption and dependent, you spend twice that just in diapers! It is nice though to get the tax credit and tax time shot in the arm. New

Rhino
Tax time stinks. I put it off till the last minute. I'll 2nd that! I spend a lot of time getting everything organized for my accountant. Then wait till the last minute to file and cut the checks for his services, state taxes, federal taxes, and 1st quarter estimated taxes for the state and feds. Newarcher
For those of you who use the government as a savings account ala a refund each year.....here's something to ponder. Many States are having some severe cash flow issues and are delaying paying refunds. I fear that there is another downturn coming if you believe some of the signs and indicators. So there is a significant chance that someone reading this might not get your refund for months. Better to adjust your withholding, establish a savings account, and transfer the additional cash in your paycheck to that savings account each month or paycheck. This isn't paranoia, there were some State refunds delayed until around August with some already telling taxpayers there will be more delays this year. Best of luck, New
