Dakota
my hermaphrodite Merriams turkey is done! Here is a pic of it from last year. The taxidermist told me he couldn't really identify the sex of the bird, heck Jim Zumbo and I couldn't identify it after it was on the ground but it had a beard, but he said that he thought it was a jake except it had hen coloring to it. It had a hen head, jake-sized body, full tail fan, leveled-off wing tips (so it had been strutting), short beard and tiny bumps almost like antler pedicals for spurs. What do you think it is? camoman1
Thats odd..a nice bird though!! The first Tom I ever shot didnt have spurs, just bumps. It gobbled and strutted his way to my decoy and tried to have his way with it....so it wasnt confused LOL but he didnt have any hooks.
