SourthenILdeerhunter
that place is located 30 mins from my house in vienna il
dbHunterNY
That's huge. In the wild stress alone from winter and hunting pressure would keep that same deer from growing anywhere close to that big I would think. Cool experience to see and hold something that big though. redkneck
Looked kinda like when we would raise hogs for a long time and then go out and shoot one to butcher. Wasn't a lot of sport in it.
Nickel
That is not hunting, that is waiting to kill. How can you be proud of a buck that you shot that you did not work for. I am sure he paid a lot of money for that rack.
elkoholic
They call that hunting? I think they need a mental evaluation.
Shaun_300
Geez, sitting in a leather office chair in a shooting blind? Life's rough. Don't really call that hunting either. Huge buck nonetheless though!

joeaveragehunter
That deer must have been hanging with barry bonds or something.
buckee
:jaw: What a monster!!! I agree with everyone else though...not the fun way to hunt. Yeah. Even though I posted it, I agree too. Maybe that's why he wasn't really all that excited when he got it. I mean, if that was a wild buck, and I shot it, you'd have to hold me up. SourthenILdeerhunter
I mean, if that was a wild buck, and I shot it, you'd have to hold me up. if that were the case i wouldent stop shaking for years lol i seen a "monster" our first firearm season chaseing a doe but i missed because i didnt have my scope if he makes it and stays around next year he will meet his maker :gunsmilie::gun2::gun1::bat:

huntinman802
this guy has nothing to be proud of other than having a **** load of money to go to a deer ranch like this. it would be like me going out and telling everyone i put a big stalk on a cow and just walked into the cow pasture and shot one when it was walking up to me. this is like most of high school sports now, it isnt even about how good you are, its about WHO you are. rad_112176
I drive past here every weekend during the summer on my way to my camper on the Ohio River. They do have some amazing bucks that run around there. Don't really know why everyone gets so riled up about this guy buying a hunt. Each hunt is what you take from it. This is no different than the baiting and not baiting issue. If you have the money and enjoy the experience for what it is then go for it. I personally would not get an enjoyment from it but as long as this guy respects the animal and understands the situation for what it is then go for it. It always amazing how everyone is so quick to condemn the way others hunt or how they hunt. I just enjoy hunting how ever i am doing it and just take each experience for what it is. davetucker
you think if you had 20 grand to spend on a nice buck like that you would give someone like bill jordan, lee lakosky, jim shokey, don kisky,ect....(to name a FEW) and go hunta really nice place these real hunters hunt and experience the whole hunting experience like the fun at camp, good friends ,good food, and most of all the work it takes to bag a real buck you worked for!! Any how nice buck!!!!
