craig mack
I'm in the market for a new set. I plan on trying out a bunch before I buy but I like to hear what you guys recommend. I'm not gonna be cheap, I want a nice set. The family and I went to Disney last week and I golfed twice while I was down there. (The Palms and Osprey Ridge) It kinda got me wanting to play more. Jorden
As far as irons go, Pings are my favorite. Great soft feel, I love them. As for woods, you cant beat Taylormade in my opinion. I bought the R9 last summer. Its great because it has the adjustable weights which really helped me straighten my drive and it probably added 20-30 yards to my drive. muggs
Callaway has a preowned website. Those clubs are all used, but in great shape. Most of them are turned in my rich guys who get new clubs every season. If you're already planning on paying a good coin, you probably could get a really nice set. joeaveragehunter
I would definitely go online. clubs are like cars, they lose most of there value when you walk out of the store.

JJL
E-BAY. I picked up a set of Ping g10's for $200. List $750. They were previously hit, but in excellent shape. You need to figure out what feels best to you and by all means hit them first
jbeck
The biggest thing is getting them fit after you buy them. Most sets you buy are standard lie to with in 1 degree, I have mine bent to 1 degree flat because of being verically challenged. LOL Any good club man can bend most sets of irons, they put you on a swing board and use contact tape to see where your bottoming out with you irons. I think right now the hottest club iron is the taylor made R 7's Good luck, these can be fit for you a Dicks' sporting goods or any local club. Then you need to join RGA I'll post the link. http://www.oobgolf.com/groups/RGA
