Guest TennesseeTurkey
Althought Im only 23 years old I have a really bad back.... Back in HS one day at football practice, I got hit with a shoulder to my head and a helmet to my lower back/butt area simultaneously and it popped my back in the lumbar area and I havent been right since.... Last year I sat down at the base of a tree turkey hunting and threw it out... this morning all I did was get out of the car and turned to walk to the trunk too fast.... POP.... ugh this sucks so bad.....
Tominator
Been there. I broke (actually Paul Manillo) broke a traverse on my L5 when I was a senior. I threw a roll block and his knee caught me perfect. Best thing that I've found for my back is my select comfort mattress. I hardly ever have back problems anymore, and if I do, they don't last long. GWSmith
99% of the time a Doctor wont even mention it...but Chiropractic care IS an option! I've been to a few good ones and before they do any adjustments they send you for a battery of x-rays. They can work with most situations and give you some relief while not causing it to get any worse or causing damage. Sometimes all your body needs to heal itself is to have the vertebrae aligned properly and the pain goes away.
Jeramie
Sounds rough! I would have that checked over big time. It doesnt get any easier the older you get!
BigDog
i have a bad back as well, I'm only 25, but beeing a firefighter doesn't help it any. Like GWS said a Chiropractor is a option, I have to them, really helps.
Buckhunter76
Gosh what ever you do man, don't rely on pain pills their a serious addiction, god only knows ive been down that road and would hate to that. I'm a recovering addict, been clean now for about 3yrs. But one of my down falls was alcohol and pain pills , led just to the harder stuff, I would definetly try the cyropracter first, I know I didnt spell that right, lol, God bless. Addicts and alcoholics aren't bad people just sick people trying to get well.
