jesse8953
Is there 1 area better than another area in Kansas to hunt rio's.I have never been to kansas and want to plan a trip to get a rio.I didn't know if the central, northwest or southwest would be better. Here in Ohio there seems to be more turkeys in the southern part of the state.Any info. would be helpful. Thanks
SE_KSBowhunter
The south central part of the state would probably be your best location. The eastern 1/3 of the state is mostly Easterns and the Rios are further to the west. There are even some hybrids of the two species here. I have only hunted the southeast part of the state for turkey so I don't have much knowledge of where good locations are for hunting the south central part. The terrain is quite a bit different from here to there.
