wtnhunt
Welcome to the forums. Really a lot of factors on what to plant and when. How much area are you looking to plant, are you wanting to plant an annual or perennial? For a good perennial plant I like a clover/trefoil mix from hamann farms, have best results planting that in the fall here. For a spring/summer planting beans and peas do really well. wtnhunt
Think I would split it up, do part in a spring summer plot and part in a fall plot. Have had really good results with eagle seeds rr soybeans, have planted them as late as July here. For a fall plot, lots of options, dogdoc has a blend he says works real well for him there in Oklahoma. Lots of folks swear by brassicas mixes, seems to be too much other available food around here and deer do not seem to prefer them.

dogdoc
What part of Oklahoma are you located? If you are wanting to plant an annual we have lots of options but William is correct--you also need to plant a cool season plot so you can either plant it all in a warm season then disc under what's left of part of your warm season or just plant 1/2 now and the other 1/2 this fall. I like to keep a plot going all the time.

joeaveragehunter
All these guys are on the right track. My only advice would be to split it up into 3 or 4 different types of seed. The more variety you have planted the more likely you are to attract more deer and keep them around for longer. Only concern would be your rainfall total, that could be a big factor in determining what will be successful and what won't.

Ultradog
Good plots also depend on good tillage and planting equipment. Give us a hint what kind of equipment you will be using.
