VtBowhunter
Re: For The Jr. Fans LOL, JimT. What a way to start "The Drive For 5". I loved it. I like Jr., but there's no way he should have won. He even said his car sucked. Consistancy prevailed at the Daytona 500 and that's the way it should be. spyderpancake
Re: For The Jr. Fans Congrats to Gordon, he ran a good race. I would have liked to see Junior win(and he almost did), but they both did a good job and raced clean.

Hillbilly
Re: For The Jr. Fans JR had a great chance and Gordon even pushed him a little. Busch showed a lot of maturity and did a heck of a job. I think stewart needs to grow up tho. JJ was only blocking him like he is supposed to do, and that just ticked Tony off and after the race Tony didn't need to hit him. JJ seemed mad and I would have to. No need to show emotions after the race is over. Thats immaturity right there. There's three drivers Id hate to have behind me 1. Dale Sr. 2. Dale JR 3. Stewart
waterfowler_gal
Re: For The Jr. Fans I LOVE DALE EARNHARDT JR! He should of won but I liked his pass to hold the lead... what a move... to bad he didnt hang onto it....
VtBowhunter
Re: For The Jr. Fans Everyone hated to see #3 coming up behind them, but I bet there isn't a driver out there that wouldn't give their right arm to see it again. snapper
Re: For The Jr. Fans I can't believe you folks think that was racing? I hate restrictor plate racing...basically comes down to if your not afraid to mash the gas pedal the entire way around the track...you got a shot of winning! They should call it the Daytona 25 and let them race 10 laps...the last 10 laps were the best part of it. Just isn't racing to me! Congrats to the 24 team for the win. Chrud
Re: For The Jr. Fans Daytona has been a boring race the last few years. Especially the last couple 400's. I'll take Talladega anyday over Daytona lately.

slugshooter
Re: For The Jr. Fans Well, I didn't get to see any of the race except for highlights on Speed channel when I got home, was relegated to listening on the radio, had to work, have to make sacrifices for the greater good. Anyhoo, I was stuck in shift change with like 4 laps to go, I was hoppin in the car to head back to the office when my relief officer told me they were under caution again. I hopped in the car, drove to the office, clocked out and ran to the truck to catch the end, made it back when they dropped the green and was going down the road when the race ended, I am pretty sure the other motorists around me though I was insane when Jeff won cause I was hoopin and hollerin, I called work to get another co-workers number( another Jeff fan) and while I was on the phone with work I got a call from one of my Deputy Sheriff friends who is a Junior fan, I promptly answered the phone with " JEFF GORDON IS THE MAN !!" She then went on a profane tirade of questioning his sexuality and can't believing he won. I calmly explained to her that the best man won and she should just get OVER IT !! Anyhoo, then I called my co-worker and co-Gordon fan to revel in our drivers mastery of the race track and just plain awesomeness. I have already made plans when I go home to Florida in July to stop by Daytona USA and take a nice big picture of the winning car to post on here for all you guys. I just had ny pics developed from last November at Darlington and I have some nice smoke filled pictures of Jimmy Johnson's burnout. As far as the #3 being missed on the race track........... NASCAR hasn't been the same without him, even if I did root against him and proudly tell him he was number 1 with my middle finger whenever he passed me on the race track, #3 was one of the best and brought a lot of excitement and passion to the race track. He is missed.
