This is NOT my WEEK!

Yesterday we took Justin's truck to get it inspected.. only for us to pay $850 to fix several things and it still didn't pass. We're looking at anywhere from $600 - $1600 to get it fixed so it WILL pass. LOVELY. :bang:

Typically I am really excited about going to the dentist :tooth:, but today was a different story. :( I found out that I have 1 huge cavity and 3 small ones! I also have to get a couple teeth sealed. All of this will be taken care of in two separate visits. On top of that... Justin will be having his teeth cleaned on the 2nd day I go for fillings/seals, which puts us at around $1,000.00 for FRIGGIN' TEETH! :hammer2: I haven't drank pop/soda for over 6 years, don't chew gum, and I brush 2-3 times a day plus floss. I don't get it.

April goes to get spayed on Friday.... so there goes another $400. I'm sure hoping that when Spring gets here that money starts growing on trees, cause by the way things are going, we need it!

Worst of all......

I get home, call my Mom back home in West Virginia and she tells me that she just got home from picking up Dad which is very odd since he has his own truck and should still be at work. I asked what was going on, only to be told that Dad was HIT BY A SNOW PLOW on his way to work! One of the big suckers too... with the dually wheels in the back that works for the State. The driver of the snow plow ran a STOP SIGN, hitting my Dad in the passenger side, setting off the airbag and doing enough damage to twist the frame on his '09 quad cab silverado. :jaw: He had trouble opening the drivers side door... and said that if he had a passenger with him they would have been hurt bad. The entire blade was ripped off the snow plow with only 2 hoses attached to it. Friggin' jerk! He told Dad that he was sorry, he didn't see him. Yeah, well... maybe if you had stopped at the stop sign and looked both ways - YOU WOULD HAVE! Geez. Cops came and didn't even give the guy a ticket..... as they said he might lose his job if he did. :bang: I should say that Dad is okay, although he is complaining that he's sore around his ribs. I'm just thanking the dear Lord that he wasn't seriously injured.

What's next? :48:

Like John said $5 here and they don't check much. If the windshield wipers, turn signal, & brake lights work you're good to go!

Glad your dad wasn't hurt.

What's next? :48:

I hate to say it but when Justin gets his teeth cleaned they're liable to find some more fixin to do on him. I just went through that today too. I'm going back Tuesday to fix an old filling and get one small cavity drilled & filled too.

I'm glad your dad is okay!

Your life sounds like mine.. I'm always asking myself what's next?

Haha I am having troubles with my dentist too... I went in to get a root canal in early December and I am going on my 4th appointment to get it done! Which my 4th appointment isnt until March. So I feel you there!

Hope things get better!!

Wow, sounds like you are having a tough week. That is completely ridiculous that they didn't ticket the guy for hitting your dad. A traffic violation is a traffic violation, no matter who you are. If he can't stop at a stop sign, then he shouldn't be driving a snow plow. Hang in there!
