joeaveragehunter
Has anyone tried using the product that has coyote or wolf piss in a granular form instead of using plot saver with the liquid and tape? Getting pumped to plant my eagle beans but want to make sure they get a chance to get started so they can grow me a big fat buck.
wtnhunt
Interesting idea, but I would be pretty skeptical on how effective yote urine would be in acting as a deterrent for deer.
dogdoc
I get pics of yotes in my plot all the time. Don't think it would work to well. I've heard of people having good luck using Irish Spring soap. They hang the soap in trees and bushes around the plot.
joeaveragehunter
Maybe I will alternate all the way around the plot with the eggs, mint, rosemary, then coyote piss, then irish spring bars every 10-20 feet. One or the combination would have to work?!?
Ravin R10 man
Irish Spring works because the deer see the leprichauns showering under the soap bars and they run away!
LETMGROW
I have had a couple people tell me the little " salt licks " you place in urinals will keep deer away. The smell is very similar to the spray you get with "Plotsaver" kits. Does it work? I don't know for sure, but maybe someone else has tried this. I do know I have never seen a deer use a urinal! joeaveragehunter
What kind of season does WI have on leprechauns? Would that be considered baiting?
chrisssteeven
We have a deer proof fence around the food plots. With the deer populations we have, they would destroy it in a matter of days. The bottom third of the fence is seperate or hinged so we can fold it upwards when we want the deer to enter. I would say the bottom piece needs to be 24" ..
