m gardner
Here's how an old guy shoots a 45 ACP. Yeah it hurts my arthritic old hands. You can tell by the smile. Mark
Shaun_300
Nice! Good shooting man! Wish it wasn't such a pain in the rear end to get our restricted firearms licence and actually carry and shoot handguns at ranges here in Canada. stcif
Hard to be a Sig. I have a 229 in .40 caliber. Are you shooting the first shot double action? Good shooting!
m gardner
Hard to be a Sig. I have a 229 in .40 caliber. Are you shooting the first shot double action? Good shooting! The SOA is a single stack, single action only. I'm practicing so I was going slow (and missing sometimes). Last week during the shoot we have, I did 5 plates in random order (two left, two right then the center was last) from the holster in 4.57 seconds. I was better when I was younger. My 239 and 228 are "krunchenclikers" (double action for the first shot). Your 229 is one heck of a pistol. Do you have snap caps so you can dry fire it? That helps me alot. stcif
Meant to say hard to beat a Sig. Yup I see the SAO. I didn't pay much attention to that at first. lol. I have some snap caps in 9mm, not 40. 4.57 for 5 shots is great in my opinion. I remember when i bought my Sig it was back in 1996 or so when the .40 was real popular. They were hard to get. I ordered one and was quoted a specific price. Several months later the gun came in and the dealer jacked the price up another 25 bucks. He said he could get more for the gun, so pay it or he'll sell it to someone else. Probably why he is now out of business.

m gardner
Yep, Teddy Roosevelt was right, there's nothing as invigorating as being shot at and missed. mark
