brad dryden
I am interested in leasing ground for spring turkey hunting for Merriam turkeys. This would be for just 3 days it maybe be just me and my brother MIGHT be able to go but not sure with the new baby and all. Also if you would be interested in hunting Eastern Turkeys I have 200 acres 15 acres is CRP,50acres crop fields and the rest is woods. davetucker
What would be the price to hunt on you land?
brad dryden
How many days are you wanting to hunt or are you looking to hunt it all spring?
ricfirefighter
there are tons of turkeys around here, no real reason to pay for a lease when you can go just about any were in the hills and find turkey.
brad dryden
That would be great but I wouldn't have a idea where to start to look at and such do you know of a place up in that area to go?
stevebeilgard
write to the chamber of commerce in sundance, heulett, and alva wyoming. they have ranchers who will let you hunt for free or maybe a small fee. also, the black hills forest is all free. very good hunting also. you could literally knock on ranchers doors and get on land to hunt. there's lots of birds so no real problem. go into the archives on stories and read an article i wrote, about 6-8 years ago. that will tell you more. WaCoyote
There's tons of merriams and public land here in WA. The NE corner of the state is where to go. Chewela, Colville, Springdale, Loon Lake. Tons of public land. Come on out.
