Im not promoting alcohol, or whatever it may seem...but if you live near me...northern Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana...wherever...I think before we suit up for turkeys, and since the winter has been long...I think its time to fire up a grill somewhere in the middle, drink, eat and be happy....who is in on this....lets make this happen...Im getting cabin fever.... al

Man, I know what you mean Al! It was my first day off in over two weeks. I put in 50 hours last week and am about to start another 50 hour week. A calm or rowdy, depending on how you look at it!) get together is in order.

I was able to go on a nice, long, relaxing walk through the woods this afternoon for a little shed hunting. This time I actually found one!! I'm looking for something to do to fill in my one day off a week.

Pick a day Al and if I can, I'll be there. Give me a couple weeks notice so I can get off of work. I'll bring the venison Chili!!

Veni chili sounds pretty good.;) Hope you don't put macaroni noodles in it Randy. lol. Had 2#'s of veni thawed for chili here for supper tonight.

Wish it was closer Al, figure you are probably almost as far from us as Randy is, almost 10 hours to Randy's from here. Saw signs on the way to Randy's place for Stillman Valley and thought, man it was too bad I did not get your phone number.

I don't know what kind of shindig you have in mind, but if you are thinking a camping get together, Willow Slough Fish and Wildlife Area is right on the Indiana/Illinois line, and has camping and a gun range. I would try to be there, assuming I was not starting a trial the next Monday. (I have trials scheduled the first Monday of pretty much every month.) If it did work out like that, I would be able to provide some of the extra camping gear and house another guy or two or three in my tent, plus I have an extra tent or two, also.

I might even be able to pull off a little friendly rifle competition or something like that.

Now William, give me a little credit! If it had noodles it would be soup!:D

Yep, that Wisconsin chili er uh soup with the noodles in it from the little diner was pretty good on that chilly night waiting for the guy with the dachshund.;):D Needed some of that Wisconsin cheese with it though.

mapquest Byron, Illinois....see where it leaves you....al

I saw the exits on the way to Randy's Al. If I ever get to take a road trip that far north again will be sure to get some phone numbers before heading out.
