redryder
Ckecked them out at cabelas (online). Wondering if you need the whole conversion kit or just the nipple if your gun already shoots 209s.
tedicast
Re: Cabela,s Remington Conversion Breech Plugs When I had my 700MLS, and was having trouble with hang fires, I was told that you needed to buy the whole conversion kit, although you only required the nipple. The nipple wasn't available seperately
AJ
Re: Cabela\'s Remington Conversion Breech Plugs You need the entire kit for best performance. The kit has a new firing pin that will give better ignition and removal of the used primer. It's a good idea to replace the spring also. Since the powder is so corrosive, the inside of the bolt is a perfect environment for rust. I replace the spring in mine every few years. The firing pin can be a beast to get out. lil hunter
Re: Cabela\'s Remington Conversion Breech Plugs So is it really worth spending $40 for? My gun has pretty decent accuracy, so would this kit affect it much?

I prefer accuracy.
