hutchies
Well yesterday I went to take mater out cause we have been keeping him in the house in a pen. We got almost 9 inches of snow. Anway I'm carrying him out and he squirms and I dropped him about 2 feet. We are talking about a 40 lb pup..............not a toy poodle so I thought whatever. When he hit the ground he starts bawling. Take him to the vet and find out when he hit he hairline fractured his tibia. Vet says he will be fine just keep him off of it a few days and she gave me some pain pills and anti inflamitory meds. I feel a little better but my wallet sure don't........... hutchies
I emailed Dogdoc last week because the local vet told me that Mater would start putting weight on it in 3 to 4 days. After 6 I was starting to get worried. Todd reassured me that it would be 2 weeks or more before he started to put weight on it. Today has been 2 weeks and he has been slowly putting weight on it for 3 days. He doesn't keep it down all the time but he is using it more and more. He was actually scratching with it today so I took that as a good sign. Here's to Todd......................:toot::drink:
