I double-teamed with a college buddy of mine on this doe in November 2008 and didn't find the picture until about 5 minutes ago.

Biggest doe I've ever shot, let my buddy have it though; he made a bad shot literally up the butt at 25 yards and dropped it in tall CRP grass. He went too far forward and couldn't find it and I found her attempting to escape dragging her hindend. Shot her through the heart at a yard. I was real mad, let me tell you; not only did he make a terrible shot on the run but our vehicles were in the background as well.:hammer1: Oh well...

Talk about a bad shot...I once saw a dude on a hunting show shoot at a buck as he was running by at full-tilt and put a straight-up bull's ey on his vitals. However, he was so excited that he didn't know he'd hit the deer, much less landed a vtials-shot and took a second shot on him and shot half of the left-side of his rack off. Cut the main beam clean in-half. The deer was a 140-class.

It takes a lot of concentration and attention to know what is happening in the split second it happens and that taks lots of experience. This is the kind of thing that happens when hunting with inexperienced hunters. Glad no one and no vehicles were injured in the incident.

My hunting buddy went on a deer dog hunt with his cousin about 10 years ago. We don't dog hunt, but this particular weekend I couldn't go so he went out with his cousin running the dogs. He jumped out of his cousins truck with a 12ga. loaded with buckshot to shoot at a 10-point and the gun hit the kick panel as he was getting out. He shot a hole through the floorboard and flattened the tire. Now that's funny right there. I don't care who you are! (But that's what happens with inexperienced hunters getting overly excited in the moment. You gotta keep an eye on them!)
