Guest MIhillbilly
I'm mounting a Leupold 2.5x8 scope on a Sako 75 hunter in 7mm-08. Can't decide on what mounts to use. I like the looks of "projectionless" mounts like Conetrol and S&K. Anyone have any experience with either of these mounts. Thanks.
OJR
Re: scope mounts I have not had any experience with either of these. Why don't you got with the Leupold base and rings. I have used them on several rifles and have not had any problem with them!
AJ
Re: scope mounts Welcome to the forums MIhillbilly. I bought a gun that had a set of the S&K rings/mounts installed. They worked ok. I did have to keep an eye on the screw that held the ring in the base. It did come loose once. When I get new rings for a gun typically, I go with Leupold as I have had the best success with them. tedicast
Re: scope mounts Another vote for Leupold bases and rings. I use Leupold dual dovetail, or Quick Release base and rings whenever I can.
Guest MIhillbilly
Re: scope mounts Thanks for the input. I haven't ruled out the Leupold mounts, just researching all my options. Again, I just like the clean look of the "projectionless" mounts.
