KirkV
A lot of variables here bud, what kind of animals you want to trap, what kind of habitat, water land etc.
2labs
Take a trapping course and learn about the trap to animal comparison, coons 1 1/2s, fox 1 3/4 and coyotes use a #3 or even 2s. Find a trapper around you by checking the state trapper asocc, they will be glad to help you start out!!

huntinman802
i use just about all traps put there except coon cuffs, because they're too expensive and i get traps stolen tooooo often. i use 1s, 11/2s,2s, 3s, 11 LS, and i also have a few MB 650 and 750s. i use snares occasionaly but i dont have the best luck with em. i also use 110, 120, 160, 220, and 330s for water trapping. hunter109
cool i seen were you have to put a hole in the ground for the bait and then put the trap on top of it well can you just set them were you know where the game you are trapping for will be and know they use a surtantan path well i all so want to know how many traps should i start out with i have one foot hold trap but i need more where to get them
Adjam5
Great spot for info. Check it out. www.trapperman.com I use live traps, 1 1/2's # 2's. 110's and 330's for water sets. The coon cuff works OK, but I am more successful with coons with my live traps than any others.

oneshot
cool i will thanks and hope for more post on here about it There are so many variables, You need to be specific about what you want to catch, land or water sets and the type of area. The more information you give, the better answers I can give.
