Strut10
Don't know what the dumb things are thinking............. But I heard a gobble this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me & Lil Strut were out and about and ran across this flock strung out in a picked corn field. There were 41 by Lil's count. Nine were strutting longbeards. PA_Spike_King
Great pics Don. Yep we have seen them do the same thing here in years past and then when the season starts we can't find a one. LOL
Strut10
Wow! Gobbling and strutting already?! Our season doesn't even start until April 10th. Dakota Ours doesn't come in 'til May 1st. I think the prospects of a day without snow and temps a degree or two above freezing got them all fired up. Nice to see and hear even if don't mean nothin'. bluelund79
That is a great sight, I've heard them gobbling in the winter too when I was out yote hunting....Gobbles in Jan was pretty cool....Spring is gonna be early this year it seems-the pike we caught yesterday in 6 ft of water over 17" of ice were full of spawn, thought it was a little early to have them this shallow so early-plus it right near the "area" they spawn on the particular lake...back they went!
