sskybnd
what time of year do you, or should you start to put out minerals, do you have to wait till they loose there horns, being it wont be long before they fall off i was wondering if i could get a good jump on them this year. wtnhunt
I keep my minerals replenished year round. Deer here are still using them now, getting good activity from does. Best time to start/establish a new lick is in the spring/summer though.
dogdoc
Year round for me also. It usually takes a while for them to start using a site so I'd get it out asap.

joeaveragehunter
Gotta keep it going year round. If the minerals are there all the time, the deer won't be deficient when they start growing antlers. That sentence is disputed by lots of "experts", but I believe different and for the price it costs to maintain mineral spots, its cheap and gives me piece of mind. Lance86
We always keep them out year round on our property. If for no other reason, it gives the deer a reason to hang out on our property rather that the others.
