hammerforged
My youngest daughter will be getting married on March 20th. This is the knife they will use to cut the wedding cake. 1084 and 15n20 Damascus with a mirror polish, this is an integral blade which means that the blade, bolsters (area immediately in front of the handle scales) and tang (part that handles attach to) are forged as a single piece. Handle scales are Mother of Pearl.
Ohiobucks
Beautiful work Ross, something your daughter and future son-in-law will treasure for their lifetime!
ruttinbuc
That is beautiful, Ross. I always liked that Mother of Pearl. When I was a kid I was wanting a Ludwig drum kit in that finish. The trouble was it was a lot more money than the Pink Champagne I cut grass and tossed papers for.

hammerforged
Thanks everyone, I really sweat over this one. First time forging an integral. Presented it to the couple last night. Don't know how they feel about it, neither of them said a word. Speechless I guess.
