RTPROFamily
Orlan, Trust me if there was a way for him to have driven there he would have. He hates flying and loves driving. It is only 4855 miles away. If they just had a bridge over that big pond!! He always tells people what his grandfather said about flying, "If you are in a car and it quits, there you are. If you are in a plane and it quits there you ain't!!" As soon as he gets home , he has to leave for a show in Erie,PA.March 5-7!
dbHunterNY
I'm sure you'll have a safe flight, although I said a prayer for you all. Did I miss why you all are headed to Rome?

RTPROFamily
Guinness Records is paying to send my whole family to Italy for Randy to perform for a new Guinness TV show. It is called Lo Show dei Records! They are furnishing everything including a driver, translator and making him some custom clothes and paying him too!He will rehearse for 2 days and film on Friday. There is an 8 hour time difference, so it will be fun but Randy is used to being up all night during show season! I have to stay home and take care of the cows and make sure the farm is running smoothly! My husband is Randy's assistant and setup person so he has to go and my daughter who is 15 wanted to go also. So, i told them to pay for it all or no Randy! They all are going!:camera: Thanks for all of the prayers because I will be on pins and needles until they are safely in Italy! Team Realtree
They'll be fine I'm sure. Those are long flights. I am going to Germany for a show in March and the only thing I don't like is the time it takes to get over there (and stuck on a plane). RTPROFamily
Randy had a hour and a half delay in Chicago because of heavy rain in PA. He has just landed in PA. and has 15 min. to get from one end of the terminal to the other! They are walking very fast. He just hopes that his 3 bowcases arrive when he does!! Keeping my fingers crossed until they land safely in Italy. As soon as he lands in Italy he has an interview, a reception party and then off to studio for rehearsal! The studio said the promise me he will get some rest soon. I hope that he sleeps some on the 8 and a half hour flight!

RTPROFamily
Mike, Randy is flying on US airways. Everyone is on the plane and hot from running to get to the right terminal in 15 min. Now the wait begins! I just checked us air website and they took off at 6:19 pm. I can feel the gray hairs popping up as my nerves are fraying!! Edited February 23, 2010 by RTPROFamily
ruttinbuc
They will be fine Darla. I thought you told me that you had all of the gray hairs popped out already and no nerves left to frazzle! I just hope Randy gets some sleep. I know Tiffany will. Dad, I don't know? He ought to. They had a long day already...

wtnhunt
Too bad about the delays, don't imagine 15 minutes would have been enough time for the luggage to transfer over but hope the bowcases and other luggage ended up finding their way and made the trip ok. RTPROFamily
The bowcases made it there with them. Randy's Aunt flew over to be with them from DC and she called me and said that as soon as Randy arrived at the hotel, they took him for an interview and dad and Tiffany ran up to the room changed clothes, Randy never had a chance to even change clothes after all of that air time including delays, and they all had to go on to the studio to rehearse! They said on the 8 and 1/2 hour flight over to Italy the plane was so cold they felt like they were freezing! I hope that they give him something to eat! He is still fighting with the sinus infection also. He still is coughing quite a bit. He is still taking the antibiotic though.
ruttinbuc
Glad to hear they made it with their bags. Too bad about the delays. Nothing like being rushed after a long flight. I hope he gets to feel a bit better. Thanks for the update Darla.
wtnhunt
The bowcases made it there with them. Sounds like they were really lucky. Glad to hear they made it and everything made it with them.
