unioncountyslayer
As my eyes are getting older, and I have to strain more and more each year to aim with my fiber-optic pins, I'm thinking about investing in a HOLOsight this year. All of the reviews I have read have been positive, but just wanted to see if anyone in here used one, and what their opinion was. Also, what brand do you have. I'm looking at a Bushnell HOLOsight on ebay that has a buy it now price of $269.
Rhino
I have Bushnell HoloSights on both my turkey guns. I absolutely love them. Just about everyone that checked mine out ended up putting them on their turkey guns. I put one on my old 1187 when they 1st showed up on the market some 12 or so years ago. I have old eyes too. They allow you to see your whole target so you know exactly where the center of your pattern will be. Works great in bright sunlight and low light conditions. Holds zero great. Shooting with both eyes open is easy too. Nothing to line up...if you see the red circle with the dot in the middle of it anywhere on the screen, that's where your shot's going no matter where your eye is behind the sight. Doesn't fog up like a scope will. I also like the fact that you're looking at your target above the barrel. Comes in handy when your aiming at a turkey with your shotgun on your knee. BTW...I zero my pattern at 35 yards & then check the pattern at shorter and longer ranges. You might want to google them up and shop around. I paid $249.94 for my 2nd one back in March, 2008 when I got one for the Benelli SBEII I bought right before the 2008 spring season. One more thing...it's a good idea to put new batteries in them right before each season. They will last more than one season but changing them in the field during the heat of battle is nerve racking. Been there...done that...twice before my hard head got the message.
unioncountyslayer
Thanks for all the info Rhino! I will keep looking around. I have until April before our season opens, so I have some time to find the best deal.

Best price I saw on a camo holosight was ~$320. That is except from the one I saw on ebay for $279. If I could have found a camo holosight to match my Benelli 2 years ago, I would have bought it too.
