New toy for the truck

I was over at the auto parts store this afternoon and saw a box up on the shelf with a picture of the General Lee on it, with 5 big plastic air horns. I just HAD to have it for my truck, especially since the LS6 motor is going in it next weekend and it's going to be insanely fast. So I installed them tonight and man oh man, my guts are sore from laughing. Just pulled the truck into the garage and mom asked me what I was doing to it, said I was just getting some stuff ready for the new engine. So I got them all wired in and leaned on the horn pad, worked like a charm! Leaned on it again then mom was upstairs and in the garage laughing her rear end off. Then I terrorized the neighbours a bit with it. The one across the street was sitting in his lazyboy watching tv, so I turned the lights off in the garage and leaned on the horn (they are LOUD!) he jumps up out of his chair and looks out the window, then sits back down. I lean on it again, he gets back up and looks out the window. I do this a few more times and am sore from laughing, so I stopped before he called the cops or something. Anyway, this is what she sounds like! :D:D:D

Wire your buddy's horn to his head lights during the day, then leave before sun down. Wait for phone call.

or the old wiring the horn to the brake lights works too

Yup, came with a small compressor, all you do is hit the horn switch and keep it held down til the whole tune plays. :D

When I had my buggy, I bought a train horn for it. You need to get an air tank to mount in the bed, power shot tank is what I used. Rig up a hold open release shut valve in the air line where it runs into the cab. 120 psi is so much greater than the 10-20 the little compressor that comes with it puts out. I had people jumping for cover thinking there was a train coming at them. Funny thing was, the closet track was 40 or so miles away.

Test it in your carage by using a blower nozzel from your air compressor for your tools. Once you hear it, you will figure out you need more air.

This is close to what i had. I had to mount them on the bottom side of the hood and run my air line through the hood and back over into the bottom of the horns. When people would ask what that line was coming out and back into the hold with 6 bolts around it, I told them NOS. haha
