redkneck
I guess the chicken I ate for lunch yesterday decided to haunt me at about 12:30 last night. I was either on the throne, or kneeling in front of it till 5 this morning. I feel wasted now, cant sleep, but at least I am able to hold some liquids down now, maybe the worst is over. I would have given anything for some phenergan. I swear when you go and eat it's just like playing the slot machine! :hammer2:

Adjam5
YIKES! Hope you feel better soon John. Drink some Gatorade or some other electrolyte replenishing liquid to get those fluids back into your body.

joeaveragehunter
At least it was one or the other and you weren't double barreling it.
redkneck
Thanks everyone. I'm sipping O.J. and water this morning and just thankful it stays down. Maybe I'll feel well enough to make it to the store shortly and get some gatorade, I hated to ask my wife to get it this morning, she was alreay running really late. It's too bad there's not a good medicine that's OTC for stuff like this. Phenergan works great, but no way could I have made it 30 miles last night to see an ER doc, not that I would have anyway, ER's give you the absolute worst care and highest cost around! redkneck
At least it was one or the other and you weren't double barreling it. Came close a time or two, was flushing and spinning a 180 like nobody's business!! It's really a pretty humiliating situation to be in, so all you can do later is just laugh about it. 92xj
I feel for you. It's something I have never experieneced before but I have done my fair share of getting sick. I have had every piece of meat out there raw, had all kinds of crazy foods and ate things that most don't even consider food and have never had the poisoning. It does sound like a quick way to lose some weight!
Orion_70
I feel for you dude! I got it from Arby's after eating one of their roast beef sandwiches almost 20 yrs ago and to this day just smelling one of those things turns my stomach!! ruttinbuc
That is a horrible experience. I have been there a couple times. Not knowing what made me that sick either time. Hope you start feeling better John. It does take a lot out of you.
buckee
Man, I know what that's like. I'll never forget getting food poisoning from a hamburger stand in a mall one time. I think I'll leave the details out.

I've gotten this from raw oysters once but not quite as bad. Worst I ever got was back in Jr. College when I stopped at a local burger joint and got a chili dog (I know, not very smart in the first place). I wound up going to the ER and got a shot of demerol and phenergan, last I knew I was laying on my side on my parent's hardwood floor vommiting and passing out, really disgusting. wtnhunt
Had a really bad case of food poisoning probably 15 years or so ago, lasted about 4 days. No fun at all, hope you get to feeling better soon.
Leo
I had it once and remember thinking, "I don't remember eating anything that color green!" Funny now but sure as heck wasn't then!

redkneck
Come to think of it I did Dan. Was the tater-tot casserole at the groc store at work. I haven't eaten there since. It wasnt half this bad, but I sure dont want it again. I work in a small town with about 5-6 eatin joints. The list of places that are ok to go back to is shrinking!
