JimPic
The past couple of years I've been hunting with a 60" Stahl T/D recurve,58#@28".Mostly I hunt with cedar shafts but I'll use carbons on occasion for practice and stump shooting. Rhino
Re: Traditional Bowhunters I have a Morrison custom 58" T/D recurve that's 54#@28". I shoot off the shelf. I shoot Easton Carbon Evolution 400's cut to 29 1/2" and hunt with Wensel Woodsman broadheads.

I shoot cedar arrows out of it with 125 grain tips. Archerjg
Doc
Re: Traditional Bowhunters That Shakespeare Necedah sounds awfully familiar. Is that a new bow or perhaps one from the mid to late '60's? I would swear that back then, Shakespeare offered a recurve with that name. JimPic
Re: Traditional Bowhunters Doc,the Necedah was from the mid-60's to early 70's.There were 2 types-a Super Necedah which was 54" and the Necedah which is 58".Great shooting bows that have passed the test of time. VTbowman
Re: Traditional Bowhunters I too have recently gotten into trad shooting. Well now 3 years deep, and I am shooting an old Browning Nomad Stalker recurve my father gave to me. He bought it new about 30+ years ago and never used it. Anyways, I chose to go with carbons since I like the durablity of them. I plan on hitting dirt and rocks alot in other words. LOL The Black Widow? Wow thats high dollar. I would look at ChekMate bows. You can get a VERY nice custom bow made for like $300 to $500. I know the BW bows range near $800 to $1000 new. Just my 2 cents. Good luck with it!
