wtnhunt
This might get moved, but kind of probably maybe should be here. Been seeing advertisements here lately for round up max, enough to do an acre for $4.95 an acre. Anyone know where you can buy it at for that? AaronS
Re: Round up for food plots I can't answer your question. I use "Clear Out" which is basically generic Round Up, sold at Rural King. I bought a 2.5 gallon jug for around $67 which was around half what Round Up was selling for. You might check the price/ounce of each to see which is the better deal for you. The Clear Out works well for me.
wtnhunt
Re: Round up for food plots I had been using a generic made by eliminator I was buying at walmart for about half the price of roundup, but these commercials have me interested in the round up brand if it is that cheap. Rhino
Re: Round up for food plots wtnhunt, I haven't seen Roundup that cheap before unless maybe you are looking at buying it by the 55 gal. barrel. The last time I bought Roundup Weather Max it was $130 for 2 1/2 gallons. Buying it in much larger quantities drops the price. A buddy of mine has a close friend that's a farmer that buys the generic brand in bulk and lets him buy it at his cost for whatever amount we need. If I recall correctly it's about 1/3 of the regualr price for 2 1/2 gallons. You might try working out a similar deal with a local farmer up there. wtnhunt
Re: Round up for food plots See the commercial every morning while the news is on. I read the bottom fine print this morning and it said the cost is figured at 28.80 a gallon. If you could buy it a couple gallons at a time that would be great, but bet Rhino is right that you have to buy a 55 gallon drum or something. I checked rural king the other day and it was about the same as wal marts prices.
Tominator
Re: Round up for food plots Round up is my best friend in the summer. I use the Eliminator brand too. Lowes ran a buy one, get one free last year. I think I bought 3 gallons of it, and should have bought 6. I use that stuff all the time. Rhino
Re: Round up for food plots wtnhunt, I talked to my buddy this morning that's getting it from his farmer buddy. He told me he is getting it by the barrel and he said it's 55 gallons. It is the generic brand and he is supposed to be charging us (a buddy deal) his cost, plus shipping per gallon. We pay him $15/gallon so that's almost 1/2 of the cost of a 2 1/2 gallon jug. His farmer buddy is getting it over the internet somewhere but unfortunately he's out of town right now. I'll keep bugging my buddy to find out where he is getting it from and when I find out I'll send you a PM.
