Fullfan
3 Hey team mates. Have been spending some time in the woods here in PA. Birds are fired up for sure. Shot some of the new hevi mag blend. My 11-87 did ot like them at all. 3" shot through a ol Mad Max and a Indian creek BDS. Less than 150 in a 10" at 40yds. Now my X-2 loved them 230-250 at 40 yds. Now that is 3.5 " and shot through Rhino. Going to pull cama cards be back in a bit. Edited March 28, 2010 by Fullfan

WHISKEYSWAMP
I've been doing some scouting and have a few birds located... however, there's probably going to be a lot of competition for them with all the other hunters. I checked out one of my other spots last night and had a gobbler roost about 100 yards away... he gobbled probably around 30 times or so once he got to roost... season starts on Monday! :gunsmilie:

I will post some pics later... that 4am wake up call came a little early and I need a nap. He's a decent bird... 23 pounds, 10.75" beard, 1.25" right spur, and a broken left at 15/16". WHISKEYSWAMP
Anybody having any luck yet? I'm still after my second bird, but haven't had much luck locating a gobbler around me... know of a couple that have been shot in the area where I had a couple birds scouted out before season... apparently someone has moved into the section I've been hunting the last five years... no one hunted there before. I'm heading out in the morning with my girlfriend and her 8 year old daughter... I just hope I can locate one so they can see one up close. should be interesting!
