Team 12.....Final Roost

Recommended Posts

well guys went out yesterday and hunted long and hard til dark and all i seen was deer. We seen 15 deer and if you have ever heard that a deer will only lick dirt where a salt blocks been thats not true we placed 2 salt blocks down and the deer uncovered them and then licked the saltblock itself! We seen 15 deer all together we called and heard gobblers but none would come in at all. Going to change it up a little bit tommorrow morning! Best of luck to all yall!

Go get those buggers Brandon. I got skunked during my first season, not for lack of effort though. I will be going after them 19-23 May, hopefully I'll do much better then. Saw nothing but hens and only heard 4 gobbles total during those 5 days-long story short, they were on land I did not have permission to hunt and they would not come to the place I had permission to hunt, public land was a complete bust....

Sounds like some of yall are having a tough go at it. Just remember that persistance and patience usually pay off. I have had a spectacular season, of course the first one I killed was a small one but also killed my best spurred bird this year. For those of you still hunting good luck and stay with them.
