coles
i got into this the last couple weeks. Getting pretty good at shooting coins and charcoal briquettes out of the air. can hit them 5/10 shots or so. Even started shooting playing cards in half like they do on Shooting USA's Impossible shots. I shot 5 or 6 cards completely in half each with only one shot. I didnt even empty my 14 round mag in the process. ive been using my marlin model 60 with open sights. Anyone else do this kind of stuff? m gardner
I used to do some when I was younger. My son did too. We used Ruger 22 semiauto pistols mostly. Shot lots of clay birds thrown out of a trap. Set the spring as light as posible and as they go straight away they seem to hover for a second at eye level and you break them. We also shot hand thrown targets. My stepson heard about it last year and dared me to shoot a coffee cup he had put a rock in and duct taped shut. He threw it up and I drew my Kimber ultracarry 45 ACP and centered it. I didn't try it again. We have a bumper crop of grapefruit here and I planned on practicing and making some grapefruit juice on video shortly. If I can still hit the darned things regularly. We have to go a long ways out to find a safe place to shoot after javelina season is over. You must love to shoot. That's good because you'll be good at it. Mark i do love to shoot. i wanted a 22 that i could do trick shooting with for quite some time and a guy brought the model 60 into the place i work to put it on consignment. he said he shot less than 50 rounds through it and i got it for $100. Any ideas on some trick shots? if yall can come up with some good ones i might try to video them and put them up on here1
Shaun_300
Believe it or not, I could hardly believe it myself, last weekend when sighting in my .220 Swift, I stood a cigarette butt up on my box I was shooting at, took it out at 75 yards! My cousin tried at 30 yards with his .22 open sights and hit it on his 6th shot, I said here, I'll try with the Swift! He jokingly said it wouldn't be fair because I had a scope, so I moved back to 75 yards, leaned up against a tree and squeezed off, nothing but cotton and paper flying. I honestly didn't think I'd be able to hit it. With a better rest, maybe!

Ive tried both with a .22 and cutting the string isnt too hard from about 20 yards but I was never able to light a match. I shot the heads off of several though.
