Swamphunter
Need a good archery target to replace my "Black Hole", that had less than a stellar performance. Need something that allows for easy carbon arrow removal.
wtnhunt
I like my glen del standard 3d target, so suppose I would also like their block targets. Do not like the gander mountain targets. My skinny shaft beman carbons in practice sessions were passing clean through their "for carbon, broadhead/field point" block style target from 30 yards out.:jaw: Had to place an old target behind it just to practice with broadheads to get my arrows stopped and my bow is not rated as being an extremely fast bow like a lot of these newer bows on the market. The old wal mart target that the gander mountain target replaced actually did better at stopping my arrows.
Tony
a good 3d target would fill the bill. but get one with replaceable cores so when it comes time to shoot broadheads your able to replace it. i shot thousands of shots on my antelope target and you and Robert saw how good a shape it was in. another way to go would be a good bag target would be great for field points. then buy a cheapy broadhead target for each year. i have the bag target and a good 3d target. RangerClay
The best target I have ever owned is a 50 pound nylon feed bag. I fill them as tight as I can with plastic grocery bags then seal it up. I can hang them up anywhere I want and I can attach any design of paper target. Plus, carbon arrows can be pulled out with two fingers.
dbHunterNY
I've had pretty good luck with my Gander Mountain Base Camp target, but I don't know how that compares to a Block or Blackhole. 3D targets are way more fun though.
The Kid
i would not get the glen del doesn't last very long, i read something about a bulldog target last year that has a lifetime warranty?? something you might want to look into that, the block always is a solid choice
okiedog
I need to replace the bags this year on my stand. I will be putting a couple of the Morrell Range bags on it.

Diamond Archer 01
Rinehart makes a pretty good target. There block with the 18 sides on it is good. Edited March 2, 2010 by Diamond Archer
hutchies
Ya that thing is like 22$ isn't it? Yep that's the same one I told you to buy............. Trophy Hunters Bag Target. I'm on my 3rd one............in 4 years and I leave them out in the rain, snow, and summer.:toot:
hutchies
Also if you plan on shooting broadheads and want something portable the Rhinehart 18 in 1 is the best broadhead target I've found.
bowin_in_illinois
If you're looking for a great field tip target, I would go with a SpyderWeb target. Not only easy arrow removal, but an incredibly long target life. (self healing) I haven't found a good broadhead target yet. I've been disappointed in them all. woolybear
$44 walmart Hard to beat for the price on the backyard range. 18"x18"x18". I just ordered another one of these last night- decent bag for the buck with a better life expectency than I expected. Shot one for close to 2 years that still stops most field tipped arrows. Rhino
I need to replace the bags this year on my stand. I will be putting a couple of the Morrell Range bags on it. That's the one I use for field points. Plenty of spots to shoot without risking robinhoods.

FULLRUT409
if your lookin for the cheapest and easist way....my suggestion would be a feed bag stuffed with cotton, bags, etc. Then when you switch to broadheads just use Tyvek styrofoam or an equivelent....works for me
PaBowhunter00
I love my block target, and would love to upgrade to the block 4x4. I shoot over 100 arrows a day when the snow melts, and after 1 season it's still in tip top shape.
bow hunter steve
try to get one with good material so u dont get pass thrus and avoid using broadheads tears them up lol
bwlacy
Morrell outdoor range target. They are big enough to shoot different spots, and last for a very long time. I shoot pretty much year round, and I only wear these out about every 5 or 6 years. I have not found a good broadhead target. They all get shot up fast when slicing them up with blades. Impervious to the elements, 2 finger arrow removal. For broadheads I get a 1" thick piece of blue foam board and cut it into 2'x2' squares. Stacked up 8" thick they will allow the broadhead to pass through and still stop the arrow. Spin off head, pull out shaft, shoot again.
