Oh man do I need some good ones.....I hurt my arm 2 weeks ago in a hockey tourney ( I heard and felt a pop) and its been very sore....lastnight I went to hockey thinking it may be ok....it was right up to the point that I took a slap shot in the same place.....I am having a hard time moving my arm this morning and I am in alot of pain.....if it does not go away or feel better I think I may be off to the ER....right now I am doing what every other good Canadian would do....having a beer to make it feel better.

I was into the ER this winter for severe lower back pain. They gave me 2 Tylenol 3s and 3 Advil. I was amazed at how fast the pain subsided.

And yup, sounds like an xray is in order. If for nothing else, at least peace of mind! Even hairline fractures will result in potential arthritis and/or rhumatism years down the road.

And OH how I hate the dreaded 3 to 4 hour wait at the ER!

Good luck!

BTW: What's that song I keep hearing in the background? Could it be Springsteen's "GLORY DAYS"? Purdy soon your hockey team will be having walkers tied to the bicycle rack instead of Harley's! ;)

My son plays in a "gentlemen's" league and every spring he gets asked to play in a few year end tourneys in these "gentlemen's" functions.

My son is only 26 now and I had to laugh, he told me a couple years ago that it was the dirtiest hockey he'd ever played in. He said all those older guys had lost their youthful wheels and the only way they could keep up to the young whipper snippers, was to slow them down to their speed. That meant elbows, rub outs, hooks, trips...and all while the ref was looking the other way. My response, "Pay attention. There with good luck go you in another 20 years!". ;)

BTW...I was on the Ice at Madison Square garden today :). My company had us doing a small job there the last few days ;).

Well I did not go in.....gutted it out here at home all day...it seems a little better but if it is not good at work in the morning I may have to go in.....I hate that place and hate waiting 3 hours to be seen....plus if I need a MRI it will take months up here so I think I will just man up and play though the pain.

Talking about MRIs. A buddy who worked with me a few years back required an MRI and had to wait a few months to get an appointment. At the same time he took his dog into the vet who booked the dog into a veteranarian clinic in Ottawa for an MRI and had it done in 2 days!
