Ethan Givan
Anybody seen these or bought one yet? They are made by H.S. Strut. I watched a few hunts where Eddie Salter used this call and it seemed like it really worked well bringing in gobblers that were hung up out of range. I think Im gonna buy one. Checked walmart and they are sold out already. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat20712-cat20827_TGP&id=0079367420113a&navCount=3&podId=0079367&parentId=cat20827&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=IA&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat601233&hasJS=true
camoman1
Yeah I saw that on a commercial the other day. I guess it couldnt hurt to have one, I wont be purchasing one though. Sounds like a good way to call coyotes in to ruin your setup haha!!
wtnhunt
Have seen the tv ads and first thought when I saw it was that it would make a good yote or cat call. Of all the times I have been in the woods, I have never heard a hen make a sound like that.
Guest bowhunter56
Kind of like fishing lures, they catch more fisherman than fish..
longbeardfever4ever
Look at the shadows in the commercials. Different. I have heard a few witnesses of it working, but rarely. Okay, so i havent killed a bird yet, but im still going to say this. Slow and steady wins the race. Meaning, keep it simple, and throw at the bird what he wants to hear, not what you hope he wants to hear..
Turkeygirl
Some of my Bantam hens squeal like that...just randomly...Never heard a turkey though. I think it'll work about as well as the "Kruncher", lol. Sounds like a rabbit distress call to me..

Sometimes it doesnt matter what you do, that gobbler is just gonna stay out there at 100 yards strutting and never break. Then sometimes it just takes patience and you have to work with him for a while just like the second bird I killed last year. It took me 4 hours to call him 80 yards across a field but I got him. Some of my Bantam hens squeal like that...just randomly...Never heard a turkey though. I think it'll work about as well as the "Kruncher", lol. Sounds like a rabbit distress call to me.. Yeah we have lots of chickens, and whenever the rooster breeds the hens they make a squeal. Ive never heard a turkey do it either but honestly, how many of us have seen a hen turkey being bred? Im gonna take the chance and buy one. Im sure I will have a gobbler hang up on me this spring and give me a chance to see how it works. BBR12
Yeah ole eddy probably came up with the cruncher too. I think I will save my 25 Buck or even 30 some places. I don't need a gimmick to kill my limit. Hey I may make that my signature.
bbgatech
Remember MAD calls came out with a locator call that was like a dog whistle? This silent sounding call made gobbles give their location away everytime the operator blew it. Yeah right. I don't see those any more in stores...umh maybe this is the same? rhine16
Yeah ole eddy probably came up with the cruncher too. Exactly my thoughts... This is right there with the Acorn Cruncher in my opinion.

My dad actually has one of those. A couple times a year, he'll pull her out of his pocket and blow on it. Never heard one gobble to it, but it's always good for a laugh. It was advertised a lot like the acorn cruncher and the hen squealer. To each his own, but with my experience trick calls never seem to work or their questionable as if they did. Actually got my dog whistle from a pet store. Owner of the shop looked at me kinda funny when I told him I'd be using it for turkey. Think I payed around 40 bucks for it,lol Was a great call when I'd blow my crow before it. Often had toms gobbling right over my silent whistle.:hammer1:
layin on the smackdown
Yep...Ive seen that ad on tv too....And i had the same impression most of you did....However, it could be one of those calls that works in the right scenario - a rare one, but it might just work on a late season educated bird...its something they haven't heard in a set up, and just might convince ole long beard to check it out...I'm a fan of trying anything when nothing is working...you just never know. as far as me puchasing one, well, i'll wait for Ethans reviews and a few others to sell me on it. good luck, and let us know how and if it works for ya.
