snapper
Re: Mouth call care I do the same as dogdoc...however, after talking with Strut on the phone the other day...his way seemed like it would work better. Put calls in a small tupperware container with some mouth wash and water...and keep in the refrigerator.
HeviShot
Re: Mouth call care They make a reed seperator. It is a small device that slips inbetween the reeds when in storage.I just wash mine off with water and put them in the fridge. Strut10
Re: Mouth call care Toothpicks and reed-separators run a chance of drying / sticking to the reeds and tearing something up when you pull them out. They can also stretch the reeds, too. Like Snapper said, put 'em in a little wee Tupperware container and cover with a 50/50 solution of water and your favorite flavor of mouthwash. Put the container in the fridge for safe keeping. The reeds won't stick, the germs will be dead and the call will be moist and have a tolerable taste when you stick it in your mouth. RyanH
Re: Mouth call care I use some paper clips and put them between the reeds! I then put them in a small container with mouth wash! Pull them out good as new! AND they take good!

Strut10
Re: Mouth call care [ QUOTE ] I never heard of putting them in the fridge, is that just for bacteria concerns or does the latex need the cold? [/ QUOTE ] The fridge storage is just as much a function of "dark" as it is of "cold". Light will deteriorate the latex about as fast as anything.
