Shaun_300
Just worked on my first movie for almost 2 hours and now the stupid thing won't save!!!! I get this message..... Windows movie maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the saving location is still available, and that there is enough free disk space available, and then try again. Did this 5 times and still can't save it. Any suggestions? Very frustrating that I worked this long on it and can't save it or share it. ruttinbuc
did you save the files from the camera to the computer or make the movie right from the camera?
Shaun_300
did you save the files from the camera to the computer or make the movie right from the camera? I saved them to the computer, then I had to convert them from MP4 to MPEG so I could use them in movie maker. it all worked great til I went to save it.... ruttinbuc
What did you publish it to? You might not have enough disk space. Lots of megabites? How long is the piece? Are you saving it as a .AVI which is huge or a .WMV which is smaller? You need to publish the video before you can save it..... Shaun_300
Oh crap! Maybe that's what I did wrong, I'll take another look tonight Mike and let you know how it turns out, don't remember publishing it. Maybe I'll redo it im WMV, I had it in MPEG. It was around 13 minutes and 176MB, I have about 116GB of disk space left on my hard drive.
ruttinbuc
Yes, that was the problem, Shaun. There was nothing but the project layout to save. Publishing is actually rendering the video in WMM. It will take a good long time to render all of that. Might as well do it when you go to bed. :sleep1:
