texastrophies
:argue::flex::boxing::fish::hammer2:..... Here's to hoping for some more fireworks at Bristol! That is where it should have happened, if he didn't have the courage to do it behind the hauler, in the first place. A lot safer, and if he has any skill at all, he should have been able to do it without getting in trouble.:argue:
The_Kat
It would have been hard for him to take that stance with the cameras showing what they showed. You keep bringing up Earnhardt, how many times did he wreck a guy going down the straightaway at 185 mph? I would bet the majority of his were not like that. Still pretty stupid and cowardly of Carl to do it the way he did. If he was really upset, he should have done what Spencer did, with his helment off, of course. Face it, no matter how you look at it, you know what he did was wrong. He is just lucky he didn't get someone seriously hurt or killed. And I am not talking about Brad, he had all the protection in the world. The fans didn't. And that is where Carl knowing almost put Brad. How many times? ALOT of times, too many to count. Have you ever watched that movie they made in memory of him? DALE I think it's called. It shows him and darrell going at it in at least 5 different races...some going 190 down the back stretch. I agree it was a bad move...we agree there. But he isn't the first and won't be the last. Thats my beef with those who are throwing a fit. Throw a fit EVERYTIME it happens and then I have no argument.
Guest TennesseeTurkey
Everyone agrees that he shouldnt have done it when and how he did, but what everybody dosent agree on is how he should be punished. Plain and simple he shouldnt be punished because A it has happend millions of times before and B NASCAR all but sanctioned that behavior in January. They did say there was a line that could be crossed and no doubt he did cross that line, he in no way deserves to be suspended for doing it when NASCAR's most famous driver did it all the time. He deserved some points to be docked or be fined but they didnt even do that, he is under probation and ALL of his actions will be closely monitored the next 3 races. LETMGROW
We've all had some fun with this. In the end, no one got seriously injured, and that, we can all be thankful for. What will happen next? Who knows. We can thank NASCAR for providing a safer car, better restraints, safer barriers and good restraining fences. They are looking to change the wing and we will continue to watch the sport hoping to see a good competitive race. God speed to the drivers! texastrophies
Can't believe yall are trying to compare this jerkwad to Earnhardt:disolve: Sure Earnhardt wrecked a few people, ok, maybe more than a few. But doing it while you are racing for position and getting them loose to pass them is a little different than a car 150 laps down (because of his own fault) coming out and purposely wrecking a top 10 car.
ruttinbuc
Do any of you know why they won't release the autopsy pictures of Dale Earnhardt Sr? Most of you guys were pups in #3's glory days. Racing was a whole heck of a lot rough than it is today. Sure, there were rivalry's and fenders in the quarter panel now and then. I don't ever remember such a CHEAP shot from someone so far out of the race.... Once again, NASCAR wimps out. My thinking is that Carl should be sitting out. As far as Keslowski goes I have not heard anyone cry about him except Edwards. You would think he would have been called to the trailer a whole bunch of times if he was such a pin ball. The trouble here is fan emotion. Regardless of who you root for you have to have the common sense to realize the bad moves of the man as well as the good. The picture is a whole lot bigger if you look at it with your eyes wide open. What sux here is NASCAR will use this to sell tickets. The storyboard is already written. Get back to me with the answer to the first question.

texastrophies
Funny you should say that, I just watched the replay on the Speed channel. It is very clear that Carl came down on Brad. Maybe you need to get you some new glasses and rewatch it. Pretty sure I ain't blind.

Get back to me with the answer to the first question. Please read this whole tread before you post next time. Please read where Kyle and I BOTH have said he shouldnt have done it when he did and where. Our arguement is NASCAR all but sanctioned that behavior (that was in another post I made too :hammer1:) And Carl shouldnt be suspended for a race for doing something people have done in this sport for years and years.... texastrophies
Look at it again, actually a couple of times. The first time watch Brad, his car is right on the yellow line and never moves up. The second time watch Carl, even a blind person can see that Carl moves down on him. I would suggest turning your volume off, listening to DW may confuse you. texastrophies
Now the thing that gets me is how many times Carl let the punk beat on him and wreck him in different races before he finally did something. If I would have been him, I don't think it would have lasted this long.

If I would have been him, I don't think it would have lasted this long. Well that another thing, Carl has been blasted about doing this and he's held his cool about things until now. I wouldnt be defending him what so ever if this happened one time and Carl purposely wrecked him for that one time. Its racing, crap happens..... but it dosent happen that often... Guest TennesseeTurkey
So you agree that Carl came down on Brad in the first incident.:boo: Nope to me it looks like a little of both, and to me (being a homer here) Brad shouldve let him in, all he needed was 5 inches. Carl had Brad beat and Brad didnt give him the room.... Its still and always will be Brads fault

texastrophies
Carl did come down on him..... But the thing is Kyle, that early in the race would it have been that big of a deal to let off and let him in and save 2 cars day? Brad might not have been the cause, but he sure could have prevented what happened.
