There, I feel better, now I'm going fishing. Did you read the article? If you read, it I don't know how you can come here and accuse the people of not using their heads. Today it is a limit on some types of fishing, what's next? Specific hunts? Expansion of more areas that can't be fished because it is affection local ecosystems. Here in georgia, we had a bad drought over the last several years (fixed NOW). Lake Lanier which serves Atlanta's water needs almost exclusively was to the point where they were talking about putting pumps in one part of the lake to make sure it gets to the dam. We couldn't shut the dam to make sure Atlanta residents (humans, well some of them anyway) had water. The only problem is that there were some fresh water muscles in Florida that a judge said had to be fed water from Lake Lanier and we couldn't cut water discharges to a minimum to conserv water. That's the craziness that goes with our Government. I would tell you to use YOUR freaking head. The groups pushing the tnediserp would have you never be able to hunt or fish again if they had their chance. If you want to trust them to only affect fishing you don't do, go ahead. I will not.....certainly no more than I trust this travesty of a president. New

fly
He'll have to take my Shimano from my cold dead hands. :hammer1: Beat me to it Chris (only I would have said fly rod instead of Shimano). Comforting knowing my fellow sportsmen are keeping a close eye on our government. I would never trust any politician. However, this seemed so crazy I thought I'd look into it a bit. Fow news tends to be more conservative than other news sources so I thought I'd see what they had to say about it. Seems there is a lot that remains "unclear" regarding this issue. Right wing activists are really helping the current administration "clarify" their policies. Hopefully this pressure will keep a potentially damaging piece of legislation from being slipped in. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/03/10/federal-plan-waters-end-recreational-fishing-wh-says/

Newarcher
I for one, don't think that tnediserp amabo cares whether I fish or not....that's missing the point. amabo, since taking office, has done nothing but do his best to hamstring industry of all kinds. He hasn't missed an opportunity to tax or hamper industry from coal to banking to insurance to healthcare to student loan lenders to fishing industry. The man isn't an American as far as I am concerned and is doing his best to destroy capitalism, if not our Country outright. New
Adjam5
I am not sure how the quote goes or who said it..., but it is something like this... "The best way for evil to triumph is for good men to sit around and do nothing." BHO and cronies must think no one is watching. 2012 cannot come soon enough. Kids today graduate without the first clue how to balance a checkbook, make a budget, economics or how our government works (or should). 54% of the US population get either all or a majority of their income from the federal government. That, my friend, is game over. New
TxBowHunter
Obama is trash, I don't see why the people voted for him. I know most of the south won the vote for him, but it blows my mind how we can just watch him crumble our society. It's absurd! We need to do something about it, but there doesn't seem much we can do.

I know most of the south won the vote for him, but it blows my mind how we can just watch him crumble our society. It's absurd! We need to do something about it, but there doesn't seem much we can do. In 1954 Joseph McCarthy turned the US Government upside down looking for communists in our government. In a short 54 years we elected one....and then we are surprised that he attacked the very foundations of our society and government. You really have to sit down and look at the absolute visciousness with which he has gone after anyone and anything that creates wealth...not just personal wealth but wealth via tax revenues and general community wealth. I think the basic problem is that the US has been blessed by God so much that we no longer worry about day to day survival. We don't worry that someone will invade our country. People became complacent and absolutely STUPID. I can't tell you how many people have told me "I don't talk about or worry about politics or even vote, I am only interested in enjoying life". I can't tell you how many of those I wanted to deck. They don't deserve this country and are as useless as the turds who leach off welfare by choice.
