really? many states refund you if not drawn?

ours you make a donation to every year... with 7 of age hunters in the house... it gets spendy each fall to put in for resident draws

For a NR on the Oryx, this year you have a non-refundable $27 application fee and then the tag is $1610 up front. The $1610 is the refundable part.

Nope, I passed on deer season last year. I went for a day and a half on my elk hunt. I still was not in good enough shape to be able to get a critter out of the mountains. All I could do is road hunt, so I came home. I am not a road hunter. But I have started prepping for this year. I will be ready...as long as a car does not pull out in front of me again. :jaw: This is what I ended up with when I went up against a Toyota:

At least the oryx are reasonable close to me. I can be in the places I want to hunt within 1.5-3 hour drive. Around here, that is close, so I can do some scouting and be prepped. The odds for my tag were ~5-6% chance of drawing for the past 4 years. So, I am stoked!

Hey Leo,

I may indeed take the Wbby. I'd like to take my muzzleloader and I can stretch that out to 300 yards. If I can't get them in that close, I will take either the 338 Win Mag or the 300 Wby Mag.
