A buddy of mine just bought one, he likes his alot. How much $$$?

here in Fairbanks $869.00 i am waiting for the Monster 7.0 also $869.00 to arrive this week dual cam with a little longer A-A then the Z7 also a little faster

I want to give it a few rounds before i make the final jump... as i am not a tree stand hunter i dont need the short bows any more

Hoyt? LOL never have cared for them... my pro shop owner tried to again and i played with a few and like my hand guns my bows need to fit just right...

Mathews sure knows how to create a frenzy with a bow. I shot it last week and I will not be purchasing that bow. Honestly there is no difference between them or any other bow for that matter. IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD BOYS!!! Swear to god if I blindfolded everyone and had you shoot ten different bows you all would pick different ones....It's the same about why people will only drive a ford, chevy, dodge, etc....All in your head:hammer1:

LOL i will have to politely disagree, there is a huge difference in the draw,. recoil, and speed of a new bow over my older 2004. My martin still works fine, however has only 60% let off, is all decked out in shock absorbers and the difference in it and a new bare bow are huge. for me, it is balance, grip, and recoil that fits my hands. with my shoulders going .. a larger let off is in need now days as is a lighter bow, when i sit on the tundra at full draw waiting for a caribou to walk into range or a grizz to stroll up to me... then every little bit helps.. ...

i just recived a cd on the bow, havent had time to shoot one but it looks pretty good, the cd was over an hour long showing most of the pro hunters using it, pat reeve, lee, jay gregory, along with a lot more. im inpressed with the mathews concept, my mathews is only 3 years old so i'l wait to get another in a few.. no telling what mathews will come up with by then.

Me too Robert... my XT is a 2006 model and has two P&Y's and two robinhoods to its name. Think I am going to keep mine for a few more years. I am switching to the QAD Ultra rest though. Would like to come up with w new fletching combo, but I am all set up for left wing helical feathers. Not sure what to do there...

I am not a guy who buys a lot of bow. Heck my MQ1 is from 98 and I still love it. But after checking out the z7 on Monday I have decided it is time to upgrade. Already spoken to the wife and have the all clear as long as she gets the new camera she has been looking at for 6 months. This bow is really going to cost me a lot. But I think I am going to be very happy in the end.

WOW, I'm seriously wondering how much shooting experience you have and how many different hunting rigs you've owned?

Thats just a very odd opinion considering that the Z7 is a totally unique shooting experience compared to ANY bow I've previously owned. Every season I look forward to owning a new rig or two and honestly, I never really expect them to change much.... however the Z7 is a different breed! It's a perfect blend of Mathews models that form what can only be described as their best effort to date. What exactly about the Z7 did you feel was "like any other bow" ??? Just curious
